Yumzaa Anest Enterprise is an eight-year-old shea processing enterprise that produces shea butter, shea-based soaps, oils, and cosmetics for local buyers and exporters to Europe. It has a shea nut processing capacity of about 900 MT per year and a network of 500 women shea pickers and 247 processors across three districts. Some of the towns from which Yumzaa operates are Bogu-Paligu, Tampe-kukuo, Napagyili, Langa.
The business seeks financing to expand and modernize its shea processing operation, and as working capital for operational expenses. The investment will increase the productivity and incomes of Yumzaa Anest’s shea nut processors.
The business has so far supported over 50 young girls including persons with disabilities. to acquire skills training in hair dressing (6), tailoring (16) & weaving (24), Thirty (30) of the girls have been absorbed into the mainstream educational sector (primary, J.H.S and Senior high Schools). We have acquired 2 acres of land to set up an ultra-modern vocational institute to train more girl.
